Dana Khdr Sabir is an associate professor of molecular microbiology who holds a PhD degree in Microbiology from the University of York/ United Kingdom (2015) and MSc degree in Biotechnology from the University of Essex/ United Kingdom (2008). Dana has more than 12 years’ teaching experience at different universities in Iraq such as the University of Sulaimani, Charmo University, and the American University of Iraq in Sulaimani, where he has been responsible for teaching students different subjects in the field of biology including Microbiology, Medical Bacteriology, Molecular Biology, and Bioinformatics. Dana is an active researcher; he has published many research articles in the field of medical bacteriology and environmental microbiology, and participated in several professional development programs. Dana was also a participant of the prestigious Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program (2017), where he received 10 weeks of training in different teaching methodologies and was introduced to state-of-the-art research techniques at the University of Central Oklahoma in the United States.
