Haroun Lazim, ESL Instructor
Haroun Lazim joined PDI in August 2018 and has taught ESL in a wide range of institutional settings in China and Dubai since 2011. Mr. Lazim earned a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of London and a TESOL certification from Trinity Board, also in London.

Stephen Chmelewski joined PDI in August 2018. Mr. Chmelewski is a former language school academic director and previous university-level EFL teacher trainer. Mr. Chmelewski has over 13 years EFL classroom experience in numerous countries, including Morocco, Turkey, Tunisia, Indonesia, and the US. As a published writer and freelance journalist, he has focused on encouraging EFL students to use English-language skills in their writing. His current area of focus lies in curriculum development and academic program design.
Alexander Jorgensen joined PDI in May 2018. Mr. Jorgensen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a TEFL-C Advanced Certificate. Additionally, he has participated in the IELTS Writing and Speaking Assessment Training and Certification program sponsored by the British Council, where he worked as an IELTS Examiner for five years. A language instructor for more than 15 years, Mr. Jorgensen has successfully supported students from a variety of backgrounds and with a wide range of educational goals. He has taught in China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Guatemala.

Carmen Ibrahim, ESL Instructor

Carmen Ibrahim joined PDI in March 2018. Ms. Ibrahim has a B.A. in English Literature from the American University of Beirut, and has taught both English Literature and ESL in schools in Lebanon, Dubai, and Kurdistan. She is currently completing her Masters in TESOL from the American University of Beirut.
