About Registration and Records Ofiice


The Registration and Records Office, also known as the Registrar's Office, supports all enrolled students, including students in the Academic Preparatory Program, undergraduate and graduate programs, and faculty members through the accurate maintenance of academic records, consistent enforcement of academic policy, efficient operation of all advising and registration systems and production of reports, analysis and research.

The Registrar's Office leverages thorough knowledge of academic policy and best practice to ensure that AUIS academic departments and programs function with integrity.

The Registrar's Office relies on technical competence and modern resources to ensure that record-keeping and registration is efficient and user-friendly and ensures that enrollment data and institutional research is accessible and useful to all relevant University stakeholders.

Registration and Records Office Team

Mohammed Nawzad, Director of Registration and Records Office

Mohamed Nawzad Joined AUIS in 2009. He provides leadership and supervises registration activities, course evaluations, advising processes, maintaining records, master schedule preparations, transcripts, grade reporting, end of term processing, maintenance of student information systems for records, enrollment verification, monitoring student progress toward degree completion, degree audit and verification, transfer credits, study abroad, finalizing the university calendar and academic catalog, preparing enrollment and tuition projection reports, student attrition and retention reports, certification and academic honors of graduates. Mohamed holds B.Sc. In Statistics & Informatics Science from Al- Rafidain University, Baghdad, and MBA degree, Master in Business Administration from the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani.

Lehat Yousif, Faculty Services Coordinator

Lehat Yousif Joined AUIS in February 2014. She liaises with faculty members on rosters, student information, course scheduling, room booking and management. She joined the registration office in February 2017, and previously held the post of HR Assistant before moving to the Registrar Office. 

She holds a B.S. from the University of Sulaimani, and is currently pursuing her graduate studies at the same university.

Sara Mohammad, Registration Office Assistant

Sara joined AUIS in February 2016. She oversees enrollment verifications, ID cards, student files and she is available at the Registrar's Office front desk to welcome students and direct their enquiries. 

Sara holds a Diploma in Electric from the Technical Institute of Sulaimani.
