Anwar Ibrahim, PDI Director
Mr. Ibrahim currently heads the Professional Development Institute. His main focus is to provide leadership and planning for the PDI team in order to develop and enhance the scope and contribution of AUIS in the area of adult education and professional, lifelong training. He manages the excellent reputation that PDI enjoys among the public and private sector companies. He has worked in the UK for over 30 years with 25 years of experience in various managerial positions in the UK voluntary sector.
Mr. Ibrahim has obtained a Masters degree in Operations Management (MSc) from the University of West London.

Rava Khorshid, Business Development Manager
Rava Khorshid joined AUIS in September 2012. She holds the position of Business Development Manager at PDI department where she is currently responsible for building relationships with staff members internally and clients and partners externally, and provides relevant internal liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, she coordinates internal marketing and sales activities towards achieving PDI's growth goals, and establishes and maintains customer database for the purpose of expanding the PDI’s services to a broader audience.
Rava is also involved in designing curriculum for short professional courses and teaches professional courses and workshops that PDI delivers to different organizations and businesses in the region. Before holding the Business Development Manager position, she was working as the Testing Center Manager from September 2012 until May 2018 when the Testing Center and PDI merged. Under her current position of Business Development Manager, Rava still oversees the duties and strategic planning of the Testing Center.
Rava holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (majored in Marketing) from the Lahti University of Applied Sciences in Finland and an MBA degree in International Business Development from the same university. She has previous work experience in administrative and marketing duties in the field of telecommunications.

Rawand Abas, PDI & Testing Center Coordinator
Rawand Abas joined PDI in November 2013 as PDI Coordinator. His primary goal is to be the focal point for all courses, student registration and coordination with other members of the team to ensure seamless service. He is also responsible for ensuring effective inter-departmental collaboration in support of the office operations and its administrative functions. In addition to these duties, he works also coordinates the Testing Center duties since June 2016, where he is mainly responsible for leading and proctoring standardized tests for applicants and students within the university and customers from outside of the university. Rawand has previously worked as administrator in Language Friends & Co. in London and as an interpreter/translator in a solicitors firm.

Hanar Hemn, Administrative Assistant
Hanar Hemn joined the Professional Development Institute team in January 2018 as Administrative Assistant. She has prior professional experience in the field of administration, and has also taken a leadership training in the US. She is multilingual with full proficiency in Kurdish, English, and Arabic languages.
Hanar holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from University of Sulaimani.
