Steele is rejoining the full-time faculty of AUIS. He previously launched the undergraduate Accounting Concentration in 2013 and has returned for its relaunch in 2017, as well as to build the accounting program for the long-term. In the interim Steele continued teaching MBA courses at AUIS and taught in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Previously Steele served for five years as an Assistant Professor at Peirce College in Philadelphia, PA. He has also developed and led continuing professional education seminars for CPAs.
Steele is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His accounting experience includes sixteen years in public accounting practice specializing in business information systems consulting and integration, independently and as a partner in a public accounting firm. He also spent a decade as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Chief Executive Officer of several small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) including a publicly listed company in Canada with operations in the U.K. Steele's international experience also includes projects in Hungary, U.A.E. and Jamaica.
