Jeffrey joined AUIS in 2016 to assist with the development of the university’s law program. In addition to directing the program, he is currently teaching Introduction to the Laws of Iraq and Kurdistan Parts 1 and 2, Business Law, and Thinking Like a Lawyer and Legal Methods.
Jeffrey is a licensed attorney in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has provided consulting advice regarding corporate and legal issues in Iraq and the Middle East since 2007, focusing on compliance and anti-corruption, foreign direct investment, corporate establishment, and general corporate law. Further research interests include international arbitration, human rights law, and labor law, especially as they affect Iraq and Kurdistan. To stay current with Iraqi legal issues, he acts as a consultant for the Baghdad-based Al Sarab Law Office.
