Renad Mansour is a research fellow in the Middle East and North Africa Program at Chatham House. His research explores the outlook on Iraq’s transition and the dilemmas of state building. Mansour was previously a lecturer at the London School of Economics, where he taught on the international relations of the Middle East. He has also held teaching positions at the faculty of politics at the University of Cambridge. Since 2011, Mansour has been a senior research fellow at the Iraq Institute for Strategic Studies, and was formerly a research fellow at the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut. He received his PhD from Pembroke College, Cambridge.
