Dr. Dana Khdr Sabir is a microbiologist who holds a Ph.D degree in Microbiology from the University of York in the United Kingdom and M.Sc in Biotechnology from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.
Dana has more than 8 years’ teaching experience at different universities in Iraq such as the University of Sulaimani, Charmo University, and the American University of Iraq in Sulaimani, where he has been responsible for teaching students different subjects in the field of biology including Microbiology and Molecular Biology.
Dana is an active researcher and his research interest lies in the areas of environmental microbiology and the antimicrobial activity of the medicinal plants. Dana has participated several professional development programs and he was also a recipient of the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program- 2017 where he received 10 weeks of training in different teaching methodologies at the University of Central Oklahoma in the United States.
