Basil Mahdi Al-Rahim Charity Foundation Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is no longer offered to prospective students. 
The Basil Mahdi Al-Rahim Charity Foundation Scholarship Fund honors the memory of late Basil Al-Rahim, chief executive officer of private equity group MerchantBridge and member of the board of directors of AsiaCell, who passed away in a plane crash in Sulaimani in 2011.
 
The Charity Foundation awarded scholarships to students in 2015-16 and 2016-17. The grant provides full scholarship for these students for the entire course of their studies at AUIS, including residence, books and tuition. The students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 to remain eligible to receive the scholarship.

  • Graduation from Iraqi high school in 2014 or prior
  • Acceptance to AUIS
  • Selection by Foundation selection committee
  • Maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher
