CGDS Meets with MADRE

On Sunday, October 13th, a CGDS Team traveled to Erbil to meet with representatives of MADRE, an international women’s human rights organization.  The MADRE team consisted of three lawyers, members from the organization’s Legal Advocacy arm. J.M. Kirby and Lisa Davis were visiting from New York; a third lawyer practices in Erbil. The two teams discussed common interests such as the importance of education and higher education, as well as possible collaboration in the future. CGDS requested help from MADRE identifying candidates as future CGDS Visiting Scholars.
